First you need to determine what type of garage door opener system you have:

Screw – A threaded steel rod

Make sure to check the owner’s manuals first for maintenance instructions.

You can do a visual inspection of the any bents or chains or loose parts. Be sure to tighten down any loose bolts or screws. You might want to replace your batteries in your remote door opener.
